The TCCRI Property Tax Project is focused on a variety of issues, including:

 

• Developing a long-term plan to eliminate property taxes as a method of funding public school operations.

 

• Creating a sustainable and fair alternative mechanism to fully fund the public school system.

 

• Ensuring that homeowners are delivered consistent and measurable relief from the high property tax burden.

 

• Reducing the negative impact of property taxes on the state's business climate, particularly with respect to capital-intensive industries.
